You Can’t Make This Sh!t Up
- Six days before his September 2024 arrest, Combs had a cameraman filming him at a New York hotel. While talking to his lawyers, Combs says, “We’re losing.” That footage opens the documentary. Netflix says the filmmakers got it legally. Combs’ team says they did not have the right to use it.
- In 1991, Combs helped promote a celebrity basketball game at City College of New York. Thousands of people showed up. A crowd crush broke out, and nine people died.
- Former sex worker Clayton Howard says Combs paid him to have sex with Cassie Ventura. Howard says some encounters lasted 18 to 20 hours and he was paid about $6,000.

Release Date: December 2, 2025
Other Unique Stuff
- The four episodes have their own themes. “Pain vs Love” covers his rise. “What Goes Down Must Come Up” gets into Bad Boy, Death Row and Tupac. “Official Girl” focuses heavily on relationships and abuse allegations. “Blink Again” follows the accusers, federal investigation, arrest and trial.
- Aubrey O’Day of Danity Kane gets one of the tougher sections. She discusses her experiences inside the Combs-run music machine and allegations surrounding her time there.
- Producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones also appears. Netflix says Jones supplied footage from the 13 months he spent working around Combs.
Wrap Up:
“Sean Combs: The Reckoning” is really a documentary about what people say can happen when almost nobody around a superstar is willing or able to tell him no.
Has anyone ever been accused of so much and convicted of so little?
