The 5 Best Warwick Davis Documentaries & Interviews

At just 3 feet 6 inches tall, Warwick Davis towers over Hollywood.

With unforgettable roles in “Harry Potter,” “Star Wars” and “Willow”, his films have grossed an astonishing $14.5 billion.

That’s an average of $805 million per movie (source: Guinness Book of World Records) which dwarfs Tom Cruise’s $303 million per film.

I followed my curiosity about Davis. I couldn’t fine one comprehensive documentary.

But I did find these 5 videos to get to know him better.

Thanks to Jane and Maverick Kelly for pointing out Warwick’s greatness to me.

Warwick Davis on “Who Do You Think You Are?” (a Double Life?)

Warwick Davis dives into his family history on the BBC show “Who Do You Think You Are?” (Season 13, Episode 8 — it aired Feb 15, 2017).

His great-great-great-grandfather, Frederick Senior, was a bigamist! Records reveal Frederick had two wives—Sophia in Cuden and Sarah in Deptford—and maintained two separate households.

Then, more big news.

Frederick had a child (Warwick’s great-great-grandfather) with Sarah. That was while still legally married to Sophia.

Warwick laughs all this up calling Frederick a “rascal”. He jokes how strict Victorian laws pushed people to desperate measures.

Warwick learns about Frederick’s challenges juggling family life and recalls his own tragedy of losing a child.

Warwick and his wife Samantha tragically lost two of their children due to complications from spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia congenita (SED), a rare form of dwarfism. Their son Lloyd passed away shortly after birth, and a second child, also born with SED, died shortly after birth as well.

The episode runs 57 minutes and Actress Cherie Lunghi and ancestry experts join him.
