Cheech & Chong this ain’t: this is weed under a microscope—with scientists, doctors, and even molecular biologists whispering, “Holy sh*t…what if this actually works?”

You Can’t Make This Sh*t Up
- THC shrank lung tumors in mice by 90% in a 1975 government-funded study—but the study was shut down and buried.
- Cannabinoids forced melanoma cells to self-destruct in 2024 lab tests—while leaving healthy skin cells untouched.
- A UK trial found a cannabis mouth spray extended survival in glioblastoma patients by 6 months—yet cannabis remains a Schedule I drug.

My Review of “What If Cannabis Cured Cancer”
The Setup
This doc lays out how cannabinoids—both those in pot and those your body makes—kill cancer cells while sparing healthy ones. It also dives into the ancient and forgotten medical history of cannabis and the political war that buried it.
More Highlights from the Doc
- Cannabis was once part of every doctor’s bag in the 1800s—used for asthma, labor pain, and even teething babies. Queen Victoria used cannabis for her menstrual cramps—and reportedly said it worked better than anything else.
- GW Pharmaceuticals grows 60,000 marijuana plants in secret greenhouses in England to make its patented medicine (which regular people can’t legally grow).
- Heavy marijuana smokers have lower rates of lung cancer than non-smokers, according to major UCLA studies. The body’s own endocannabinoid system regulates pain, appetite, immune function—and tumor growth.
Lesser-Known Details from the Doc
- THC molecules pass easily through the blood-brain barrier—making them unusually effective for brain tumors. Blocking the body’s cannabinoid system (via diet drugs like Rimonabant) caused depression and suicide in clinical trials. The drug was pulled from the market.
- Cannabinoids disrupt tumor blood supply (anti-angiogenesis), stop tumor spread (anti-metastatic), and trigger cell death (apoptosis).
- There are over 60 cannabinoids in the cannabis plant—most of which are ignored in modern breeding focused only on high-THC strains. The U.S. DEA admitted THC has medical benefits, but still keeps cannabis illegal in whole-plant form.
Wrap Up
If even half of this is true, this doc is more than eye-opening—it’s paradigm-shifting. It makes you question everything you thought you knew about medicine, cancer, and cannabis.
