- A former broker describes working at Stratton Oakmont as feeling like a cult. There were scripted sales calls and constant peer pressure. Employees had to sell nearly worthless penny stocks to unsuspecting investors.

Other Unique Stuff
- The title “The Wolf of Wall Street” didn’t originate with the movie. Belfort had already earned the nickname years earlier after the famous Forbes article.
- The series takes more time than the film to explain penny stock manipulation. This makes the fraud easier to grasp.
Wrap Up:
I enjoyed this even more than the Hollywood version because it gives insiders a chance to tell their side of the story. If you thought you already knew Jordan Belfort’s story, this doc proves there was a whole lot more happening behind the movie.
